Overhead Transmission Line Supervisor/ Senior Chargehand

We are seeking experienced Overhead Transmission Line Supervisors to undertake conductor stringing & clipping on a new-build 330KV-500KV line in NSW.
Position Summary
The Overhead Transmission Line Supervisor is responsible for leading teams across multiple sites carrying out the construction of overhead transmission lines, associated structures and ancillary installations. This role requires leadership skills, technical skills and adherence to safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and manage Overhead Transmission Lineworkers. Installation and maintenance of transmission network infrastructure including towers. Installation and maintenance of associated hardware on overhead transmission towers, such as insulators, cross-arms, and stays. Installation and maintenance of overhead conductors (conductor stringing and clipping). Tensioning, sagging and dead-ending as required. Operate specialized equipment, including but not limited to Tesmec tensioning machines. Operate Mobile Elevated Work Platforms (MEWPs). Dogging and Rigging work in accordance with the High-Risk Work License. Competent use of all regular hand tools, power tools and equipment. Interpretation of technical drawings, network line diagrams, and maps. Ensure strict compliance with Work Health and Safety (WHS) procedures and requirements are enforced by Overhead Transmission Lineworkers. Work safely near live electrical apparatus. Operate plant and equipment safely near live electrical conductors and apparatus. Receive access permits and operate safely within the authority of the access permit. Manage pre-work planning, risk assessments, and site preparation works to enable work to be completed safely, efficiently and in accordance with applicable standards and regulations. Liaise with key internal and external contacts such as customers and contractors. Perform other duties and responsibilities as directed by the Project Manager, in line with the responsibilities for this role.
Qualifications:
UET 30521 – Cert III in ESI - Transmission Overhead or recognised similar (preferred) Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role Certification in relevant safety courses, including MEWP operation Ability to read and interpret technical documents Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
