The Opportunity We are seeking a proactive journalist to join The Senior's editorial team, producing general news and lifestyle stories suited to mature Australians, as well as content for themed advertising features.
This is a work from home position.
The successful applicant will gather, write and self-edit news stories and features for publication for online and in print for a national/state-based audience.
What you'll be doing: Work closely with the editor and the sales department to produce informative, interesting and engaging content for print and online Maintain editorial integrity and independence while meeting customer expectations for high quality, relevant and engaging content Demonstrate a commitment to accuracy and be able to work to strict deadlines Take a creative, audience-first approach to your work, while utilising digital story-telling tools to enhance online content.
The successful candidate will have: Strong digital news-gathering and writing/reporting skills, adhering to tight deadlines The ability to work as part of a team - and autonomously - in a remote working environment Skills and experience in print production You don't need to be aged over 50, but you do need an understanding of major issues affecting mature Australians Skills and experience in writing commercial features is highly desired but not essential Qualifications in Communications/Journalism Why you should join ACM ACM's purpose is driven by our passion for keeping our communities strong, informed and connected.
