Primary Responsibilities: Overseeing the administration and support operations of the practice, ensuring staff achieve their primary responsibilities. Line managing all staff, supporting staff development, providing guidance and direction, ensuring staff are up to date with mandatory training. Completing all clerical staff appraisals as required. Identifying and delivering team training where required. Compiling Reception and administration staff rotas. Reviewing and updating all administrative and reception policies and procedures as required. Supporting the management team in the compilation of practice reports and the practice development plan. Developing, implementing and embedding efficient office processes and procedures to adhere to extant legislation. Overseeing day-to-day operations and 'firefighting'. Coordinating the provision of temporary administrative and reception staff, ensuring sufficient cover is provided for periods of leave and other staff absences. Coordinating the weekly clinical meeting alongside the PA to the Practice. Updating the appointment system to reflect leave and other approved absences. Providing initial guidance and advice to patients who wish to verbally complain. Managing all deliveries to the practice, ensuring adherence to the cold chain policy as necessary. Acting as building fire marshal, ensuring evacuation lists are current and that the visitors log is used appropriately. Acting as complaints lead for non-clinical complaints. Evaluating, organising and overseeing the staff induction programme. Acting as the lead for recruitment including pre-employment checks and DBS, with the assistance of the Operations Assistant. Attend the weekly practice manager briefings with the Practice Manager. Act as point of call between the Practice and PCN. Help support the senior partner with general finance queries. Secondary Responsibilities: Partake in audit as directed by the audit lead. Support the senior management team in the maintenance of the practice website and social media accounts. Monitor and promote the use of the Friends and Family Test. Champion continuous improvement, encouraging staff to participate and make suggestions for CI initiatives. Assist with QOF targets. Lead the Patient Participation Group meetings. Actively encouraging and promoting the use of patient online services. Reviewing and updating clinical templates ensuring they relate to current practice. Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £32,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
