Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Operations manager to join our downstream fuel operation based in Pinkenba, QLD.
The Operation Managers role is responsible for leading and supporting the operational work across major Tier 1 and 2 contracts, enabling the execution of the contractual obligations and KPIs through effective cost management and resource allocation.
As the Operation Manager, you will:
Allocate people and assets to deliver on operational targets and service standards to meet the contractual obligations.
Set operational objectives and deliver results through the team whilst translating the longer term into day to day goals.
Contribute to innovation and change across the operations through strong leadership and accountability.
Build strong, trusted relationships with our customers through prompt response to daily / weekly changes in operational requirements.
Provide strong leadership, creating a positive workplace culture through collaboration and influencing the mindset of our people to improve the overall capability of the region.
Implement Driver safety initiatives, ensure adherence to statutory and regulatory frameworks, whilst promoting a workplace of Safety.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations and fatigue management as it pertains to the Transport industry, specifically including dangerous goods.
Strong customer service orientation – excellent understanding and strong curiosity about our customers and what adds value to them.
Sound knowledge of personnel and operational requirements, relating to training and compliance.
Sound incident management/investigation skills – ability to determine root cause and implement appropriate corrective actions.
Ability to consider a broad range of internal and external factors when solving problems and making decisions.
Sound analytical skills.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Qualifications/ Skills – Education and/or professional
A tertiary qualification in logistics or business-related discipline or equivalent experience
