Find a career that matters and lastsAs an Operations Application Specialist, you are responsible for supporting the identification, implementation, transition, and ongoing management of operational technology solutions and their integrations for Real Time Network Operations. Your role involves identifying and clarifying problem statements, developing solutions in consultation with key internal and external stakeholders, and creating comprehensive delivery packages for solutions, from requirements development to change management and training evaluation.Your Key Responsibilities Will Include Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define the problem (problem statement, business objectives and requirements), and drive the development and execution of technology solution initiatives across Real Time Network Operations. Conducting comprehensive analyses of existing operational applications and processes and identify areas for improvement across people, process, and technology. Assessing, recommending, and supporting the implementation of technology solutions and facilitate the seamless transition across the Real Time Network Operations business to support digital transformation. Identifying and collaborating closely with key stakeholders, to gain buy-in and support for transformational initiatives. Using change management techniques to ensure lasting change supporting user acceptance and successful integration across Real Time Network Operation. Identifying potential risks associated with operational changes and develop mitigation strategies to minimise the disruption and ensure business continuity. Supporting the establishment of project plans inclusive of schedule, dependencies, and cost estimates, and drive prioritisation of scope and resource allocation, including the coordination of operational application upgrades with key stakeholders. Supporting and maintaining software systems used within Real Time Network Operations, from an end user perspective. You will join a dedicated team committed to making a positive impact on the business and enhancing the network that powers Queensland.Your expertiseDegree level qualification in Engineering, Business Management, Change Management, with equivalent applied experience.We'd Also Love You To Have Demonstrated skills in leading continuous improvement technology programs to realise efficiencies between areas of technical expertise to deliver 'best for Powerlink' solutions. Ability to manage and influence diverse internal and external stakeholders to solve complex problems, and document issues, assumptions, and recommendations for implementation. Demonstrated effective communication skills to negotiate, influence and resolve conflicts in a way that supports productive working relationships. Experience producing, reviewing, and editing technical documentation ensuring accuracy, adherence to relevant style guides and standards. Proven ability to manage and produce fit for purpose technological outcomes in operational environments. Capacity to develop an understanding of emerging operational technologies with a particular focus on Energy Management Systems, Smart grid technologies or other similar technologies. Demonstrated proficiency in technology evaluation, selection, and implementation. Demonstrated experience applying change management techniques in complex environments.
