The Company

The Role
As Risk Assurance expert you will work within the operational risk and assurance framework ensuring the project meets its objective. You will work collaboratively with the governance and assurance function within the portfolio and the wider assurance function as well as Line 2 Risk in order to support the delivery of project outcomes.
Duties
Develop testing scripts for assessing operating effectiveness
Undertaking operating effectiveness tests in accordance with a schedule and engaging with key stakeholders and other risk experts to expedite
Support the project with documentation of risk assessments, controls & treatments design and implementation and evidence of testing
Drive risk culture and awareness whilst promoting operational risk management
Drive improvement in risk culture

Experience
Demonstrable experience in an operational risk or project risk role with deep understanding of the impacts on operational risk and controls through change
Hands on experience conducting risk reviews, solutions and control design, testing, closure documentation and monitoring
Experience in either Banking/Financial Services or a highly regulated industry such as Utilities/Telco
Knowledge of a regulatory environment
Tertiary qualification in business/commerce/statistics related discipline
Excellent interpersonal skills, strong presence and articulate when working collaboratively with stakeholders
Ability to drive outcomes, a self-starter with initiative and ability to problem solve
