A newly created role, reporting to the Privacy Compliance Manager you are accountable for operationalising the privacy framework across Coles Group and ensuring first line defence processes and controls are in place to minimise privacy compliance risk.
- You ensure business readiness for new or amended privacy laws and provide support and advice on new initiatives involving personal information of our customers, team members, and suppliers, including drafting and implementation of new policies and processes.**About The Role**
- Conduct privacy impact risk assessments (e.g. third party service providers, projects, and initiatives) to ensure privacy risks are understood and mitigation plans are in place
- Develop privacy policies, procedures, training and/or guidance in to ensure privacy compliance and develop / implement corrective action plans where required
- Provide advice and guidance to team on privacy regulatory issues management
- Develop and implement a framework describing who, how, and when privacy compliance obligations and risks should be identified, assessed, and managed at the business unit level across the organisation
- Support 1st line defence stakeholders in understanding their role and responsibilities with respect to their privacy compliance obligations
- Support the 1st line of defence in identification, assessment, and management of privacy compliance obligations and risks as applicable to their business unit, business processes, and supporting systems
**About You And Your Skills**
- Proven experience working in privacy compliance within ASX listed companies
- Advanced skills in designing, developing, and operationalising privacy frameworks in business activities and processes
- Excellent understanding of privacy laws and regulations applicable to Australian regulatory environment
- Strong project management, problem solving, communication, and negotiation skills
- Proven ability to identify and translate legislation into simple and clear business procedure
- Proven experience developing relationships and engaging regularly with a variety of stakeholders, including senior managers in a challenging environment
- Ability to effectively manage competing priorities and complete tasks/projects in a timely manner and to a high standard
- Tertiary degree in risk management, law or relevant discipline. Industry certifications highly regarded e.g. CIPM, CIPT
