Job DescriptionWe are seeking Out of School Hours Assistants to join our Before and After School Care team. The successful applicant must be available for morning & afternoon hours and vacation care. This is a casual position.
Desired Skills and ExperienceTo be effective in this position the successful applicant should have: Working knowledge of current childcare legislation, including the EYLF and MTOP frameworkAn understanding of the National Quality Laws and Regulations is desirablePrevious experience working with children, preferably primary school-aged children, is not essential but will be highly regardedEducation and Care First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis management certifications or be willing to obtainChild Protection Accredited Child Protection CHCPRT001Duties include: Deliver the Before, After and Vacation Care programs under the supervision and direction of the Educational Leaders and DirectorBuild a healthy relationship with children and their familiesAssist in delivering the service in accordance with appropriate policies and standardsAssist with administration as required by the DirectorOperation Hours are Monday to Friday: Before School 6:30am to 9:00amAfter School 2:00pm to 6:30pmVacation Care (School Holidays) 8:00am to 5:00pm. Vacation care periods may have different shift requirements that can be negotiatedAdditional hours may be required for administration and other preparationsCommitment to a church and the ethos of Christian education is vital. Applications should include a reference from a minister of the church you regularly attend.
