The Company
A non-for-profit organisation dedicated to supporting individuals with vision or hearing impairments throughout Australia, catering to children, adults, and families, offering comprehensive hearing services spanning from newborns to individuals over 90 years old. They specialise in aiding children who are blind or have low vision, empowering them with essential skills, mobility, and independence to confidently navigate their surroundings.

As a registered NDIS provider, they collaborate closely with clients to actualise their goals and potentials.
Their dedication extends to research and innovation, leveraging cutting-edge technologies and progressive methodologies to educate future generations and pioneer advancements in hearing and vision services. Currently, they are establishing a pioneering innovation center at a University campus, heralding a new era in the realm of hearing and vision impairment. This nationally significant endeavor will serve as a hub for nurturing, trialing, and disseminating novel ideas, fostering partnerships aimed at enhancing outcomes for individuals who are deaf, hard of hearing, blind, or have low vision.
The Role

Providing top-tier, client-centered services to aid individuals with vision and hearing impairments in achieving their goals and aspirations.
Implementing best practices in clinical and educational settings to ensure optimal client care.
Offering evidence-based assessments, intervention supports, and strategies to facilitate client progress.
Delivering services in various settings including in-person, via telepractice, at our center, client homes, schools, or other appropriate locations.
Employing a person/family-centered approach in service provision.
Collaborating with clients, their families, and relevant stakeholders to develop, deliver, and evaluate Individual Support Plans and progress reports.

Requirements

Bachelor in Occupational Therapy or equivalent
Pediatrics Experience
Professional membership with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (Ahpra).
Proficiency in clinical skills and knowledge.
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Track record of contributing to client outcomes in a team environment.
Possession of a valid driver's license.
Working With Children Check.
NDIS Worker Check.
Previous experience working with clients with sensory disabilities.
Familiarity with the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) framework including Pediatric case loads.
Willingness to adapt and learn new systems, processes, and frameworks.
