Flavorite is entering a high production season in the Nursery and is looking for people interested in joining the Nursery team over the summer months.
The Nursery Team Member is responsible for working as part of a team to complete tasks to achieve the relevant KPIs and quality requirements for the specific crop, which involves:
Grafting specific plant varieties onto root stock using specialized techniques Nursery tasks such as: Staking and clipping of seedlings Spreading of seedlings Planting new crops in accordance with current standards Blocking on Plant variety trials Packing up Monitoring and evaluating crop and identifying and reporting on the physical health of the crop Other Nursery tasks as required Core capabilities of successful candidates:
Able to work in a tropical environment Good level of fitness with the ability to undertake physical and repetitive work Able to follow instructions Strong teamwork abilities High attention to detail Highly motivated and shows initiative Ability to communicate across different cultures These positions are casual and are required for the month of December 2024 and January 2025. 6am starts will be required for this role.
Previous experience in the horticulture sector is not essential as successful applicants will be provided with training to understand the quality and performance standards required.
You must be available to work over the Christmas and New Year's period (Christmas Day you are not required).
