About the opportunity:
Position: Senior Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Worker (Identified)
* Under s25 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991, there is a genuine occupational requirement for the incumbent to be Indigenous to the Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander Community.
Vacancy: Permanent full-time, 2 x positions available
Location: Townsville University Hospital
The purpose of this position is to ensure that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander patients accessing kidney transplant services receive effective, coordinated and culturally capable health care.

Generous remuneration package value up to $132,567 p.a. comprising:
* Salary range of $3777.60 to $4453.50 p.f. (HWF4)
* Annual leave with 17.5% loading
* 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation.

Requirements:

* Diploma in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care is Mandatory.
* Possession of class C drivers' licence.
* This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role. Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Tuberculosis.
* Probation period may apply.
* Pre-employment checks will be conducted including Criminal History Clearance and Blue Card Checks.
