The Victorian Country Cricket League is seeking a suitably-qualified coach for its Senior Female team contesting the Australian Country Cricket Championships in the Barossa Valley (SA) between January 3-10, 2025.
The role offers an exciting opportunity to involve quality cricketers with strong country backgrounds in trial programs before supporting the selected squads at the championships. The coach will work closely with selectors to attract the best available players to the trials and assist in the selection of the final teams to play against New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia, the Australian Capital Territory, and Western Australia country teams during the eight days of the championships.
The VCCL is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated person with excellent communication skills and demonstrated expertise in all coaching areas. Both the female and male VCCL teams have been strong performers at the championships over a long period of time.
Minimum Requirements:A genuine enthusiasm for the roleA thorough understanding of the requirements of the role and what's needed to achieve success at a high-level eventExcellent verbal and I.T. communication skillsAccess to email communication systemsCricket coaching accreditation – Level 2 (applicants with Level 1 plus proven coaching ability and experience will also be considered)Flexible and sufficient time to devote to the requirements of the coaching roleSelf-motivated with the ability to work both independently and as part of a teamAt least two referees prepared to support the applicationApplications are now open and will close on June 24th, 2024.
