Network Engineer Role6-month contract position with potential for extension.Your New CompanyOur client is one of Australia's largest telecommunication organisations and is home to some of Australia's most loved brands.Your New Role and ResponsibilitiesAs a Network Engineer (DevOps), you will play a crucial role in designing, deploying, and maintaining the IP & MPLS network. Your responsibilities will include:Providing network design for BAU operations.Rolling out and deploying network solutions to the IP & MPLS Network.Developing technical design documentation, including HLD, LLD, and network drawings.Supporting the NOC team.Occasionally, hardware procurement for the business.Ensuring safety and wellbeing at work, both for yourself and your colleagues.Continuously seeking ways to improve our processes and exceed customer expectations.Planning your work to leverage opportunities and mitigate risks in our evolving industry.Staying familiar with company policies and procedures, and completing any required training.What You Need to SucceedTo be successful in this role, you will need:A degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT, or a related field.Industry certification equivalent to CCNP.A minimum of 3+ years' experience in an operational role.At least 12 years' experience working in an ISP environment.Experience managing the delivery of network projects.Proficiency in automation scripts for network information extraction and reporting.Essential skills in OSPF, BGP, ISIS, BFD, LDP, L2TP, BRAS, Radius, and PPPoE.Extensive experience with Cisco.Proven troubleshooting skills for network-related issues.An understanding of product development challenges.Strong documentation and project management skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Outstanding interpersonal skills.What You Will Get in ReturnOur client offers a supportive and dynamic work environment where your contributions are valued.
