Network Engineer

key responsibilities Network Design and Implementation: Assist in the design and implementation of network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, and wireless networks. Help deploy and configure network devices such as switches, routers, firewalls, and access points.
Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Troubleshoot network issues and perform root cause analysis to identify and resolve problems. Conduct regular maintenance and updates to ensure network stability and security.
Monitoring and Optimization: Monitor network performance and traffic patterns, identifying areas for optimization and improvement. Implement solutions to enhance network efficiency, reliability, and scalability.
Security: Implement network security measures to protect against unauthorized access, threats, and vulnerabilities. Configure and maintain firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems to safeguard network infrastructure.
Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, diagrams, and procedures. Keep documentation up-to-date to facilitate troubleshooting, knowledge sharing, and future planning.
Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including system administrators, developers, and IT support staff to ensure alignment of network infrastructure with business needs and objectives.
requirements Solid understanding of networking concepts and protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and routing protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP). Hands-on experience with network equipment from vendors such as Cisco, Juniper, or Arista. Certifications such as CCNA or CCNP are a plus. Proficiency in network monitoring and troubleshooting tools such as Wireshark, Nagios, or SolarWinds. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex network issues. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. #J-18808-Ljbffr
