Are you passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with disabilities? As a NDIS Support Worker, you'll play a pivotal role in providing essential assistance to participants of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), helping them live fulfilling lives and achieve their personal goals.
Responsibilities:Deliver high-quality support services tailored to each NDIS participant's individual plan.Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks.Support participants in engaging with their local community and participating in social and recreational activities.Implement behaviour support plans and provide guidance on positive behaviour management techniques.Promote independence by assisting participants in developing essential life skills.Document participant progress and maintain accurate records of the support provided.Collaborate with healthcare professionals, families, and other support networks to ensure comprehensive care.Adhere to all relevant policies, procedures, and regulations in NDIS service delivery.What We Offer:A rewarding opportunity to make a lasting impact on the lives of individuals with disabilities.Ongoing professional development and training in NDIS processes, behaviour support, and more.A supportive and inclusive work environment with a focus on work-life balance.The chance to work within a multidisciplinary team and contribute to holistic, person-centered care.Selection Criteria:Experience working with individuals from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.Demonstrated understanding of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and its processes.Ability to provide culturally sensitive support and advocacy for clients.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Experience in developing and implementing support plans.Strong organisational and time management skills.Current driver's license and willingness to travel for client visits as required.Relevant qualification in community services, disability support, or a similar field (desirable).If you're driven by a desire to support individuals with disabilities in leading fulfilling lives, we'd love to hear from you.
