Gifted Hands Home & Disability care (Gifted Hands) is a government approved NDIS registered national community services organisation established by a group of health professionals working for more than a decade in Australian Public Health Services. Gifted Hands has in-depth experience in providing care to clients who have physical and/or mental health disabilities, including child and adolescent mental health. **Role Overview**
You will be the face of our organisation who will accelerate the growth of Gifted Hands Home & Disability Care to a new level. You are required to have excellent customer service skills, to establish connections, build rapports, sustain relationships, and maintain consumers' satisfaction through utilising active listening, questioning, empathy, and professionalism.
**Duties and Responsibilities**
The Intake Officer position has the following duties and responsibilities:
Build strong relationships within the Disability Sector including Local Area Co-ordinators, Support Coordinators, GP, hospitals, Allied Health Professionals, and the NDIA to identify prospective new customers and obtain referrals or contact them to arrange meetings and discuss available services of the organization.
Attend relevant expos, conferences, forums, and networking events to represent Gifted Hands and its services.
Develop and execute appropriate marketing strategy in consultation with the management team for the growth of the organization.
Continue maintaining positive stakeholder relationships and engagement and build networks to promote and market Gifted Hands' brand.
Maintain an in-depth understanding of the NDIS guidelines and framework and build a network with key stakeholders, both internal and external related to customer care.
Liaise with customers and/or their plan nominee (as appropriate) to discuss and sign service agreements
Proactively foster leads in the pipeline and strengthen triage processes for responding to inquiries and referrals and coordinate all intake-related tasks maintaining meaningful engagement throughout the customer journey.
Promote Gifted Hands within communities, referring agencies, and relevant organizations.
Monitor and audit client satisfaction and implement quality initiatives to support ongoing quality improvement at a competitive edge.
Ensure clients are supported in their engagement with the service through working collaboratively and cooperatively with clients and other stakeholders.
Escalate for immediate actions to the management for any issues or concerns including risks to reputation, patient safety, and complaints.
**Key Selection Criteria**
- Relevant Qualifications in social services or other fields related to Service Coordination
- Extensive knowledge of NDIS guidelines and Practice Standards.
- Knowledge and experience in Supported Independent Living (SIL) services
- High-level customer, sales, and marketing service skills
- Knowledge of disability sectors, including funding and policy protocols, and NDIA Practice standards
- Experience working with the people with disability, their families, and the NDIS
- High-level computer literacy skills (Microsoft Office, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Experience working in a multi-disciplinary team
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills public speaking and presentation capabilities
- Time management skills to effectively manage workload and meet deadlines
- Current Police Clearance check/ Working with Children Check
- Current Driver's License and comprehensively insured registered vehicle
- Ready to work in ABN

Part-time hours: 40 per week
**Salary**: $60,798.44 - $112,692.41 per year
