We're changing at a rapid rate, giving you challenging work that you'll be proud of.Join the teamAn exciting leadership opportunity with 2 direct reports has risen for an experienced National Supplier Manager to join our Procurement team at Kmart National Office in Mulgrave.This role will primarily support the management of strategic and high-risk contracts, build supplier relationships, and establish mechanisms to ensure relationships are effectively governed both within and outside of the procurement function. From time to time this role will also assist the tendering team in developing sourcing strategies for significant spend areas across the non-merchandise categories.What you'll be doingAs a National Supplier Manager working for Kmart, you will:Develop appropriate KPI/SLA's and reporting mechanisms into contracts ensuring that supplier performance is met against these metrics for each service category.Provide expert advice and collaborate on procurement strategies, approaches, and activities to support business requirements.Work closely with business functions to identify and manage commercial, contractual, operational, financial, reputational, ethical and supply chain risks emanating from procurement activity and supplier arrangements.Be responsible for creating collaboration between contract owners, supplier management teams and assist in the development and implementation of strategies that improve the quality of service.Develop strategies based on market conditions, category/service analysis together with an in-depth knowledge of business demands and requirements.Represent Kmart in critical negotiations, including those that are cross-divisional, and achieve effective solutions by challenging relationships, conflicting positions, and priorities.To be successful in this role you'll haveYou will have 3-5 years' experience in a national role and must have a procurement background.Experience leading a team and managing direct reports.Strong commercial acumen and understanding of Governance, Contractual and Commercial Support will be essential.Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing strategy at a procurement level.Prior experience leading multiple procurement projects on a large scale.Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage multiple categories/demands and have challenging conversations.Flexibility and willingness to travel (both to Target Corporate office in William's Landing, interstate and New Zealand when required).Benefits we'll offer you:Flexible hybrid working options through our Flex Where, Flex When, Flex Well policy, spending 60% of your week in our National Office.A team member discount card that gives you a discount at Kmart, Target, Bunnings, and Officeworks.A free OnePass membership offering free delivery across Kmart, Target & Catch on eligible products.Access to the Kmart for You benefits program which entitles you to exclusive discounts and benefits in the areas of entertainment, travel, lifestyle, and health – with over 60 suppliers!We want you to feel rewarded for your commitment and hard work that's why everyone gets the opportunity to participate in a bonus program.Free onsite parking when you're required to come into the office.We offer inclusive parental leave, a family room and ongoing support offered through our partnership with Circle In for team members of all backgrounds and family circumstances.A dynamic learning and support program.Opportunity to fast track your career through our Mentor Program as a Mentee or Mentor.In-house café that serves breakfast, lunch and includes a collaborative space to work in.A reflection room that can be used for prayer, meditation, or time for you.A Kudos recognition program, where you are nominated by your peers to spin a wheel, to win a stack of cool prizes.Regular product sample sales with loads of discounted items to purchase.Wesfarmers is Kmart's parent company and each year eligible employees can elect to purchase shares through a salary sacrifice arrangement.Great career opportunities across the broader Wesfarmers Group.We're here to make everyday living brighterFrom humble beginnings in Burwood East, Victoria, in 1969, we're now an essential part of 300 communities, and proud of it!
