As National People Manager, you will lead our regionally based operational HR team to drive the people plan, initiatives and programs and provide high quality coaching and advice to business leaders, operating at both the strategic and operational levels to drive effective strategies and solutions. You will be responsible for providing expert advice and helping deliver on such areas as Organisational Design and Change Management, Industrial Relations, Talent Management, Compensation, and Organisational Development programs within the context of targeted program/s of work and transformation activities. You’ll work in partnership with Senior Leaders across the business to deliver on our strategic priorities and ensure we deliver on our vision to be the first choice for our customers and people.

Your main responsibilities will include:

Providing leadership, motivation, coaching and coordination across the business

Applying appropriate change management tools and techniques to bring about effective organisational and cultural change.

Working with the People community to coordinate the identification and nurturing of talent and succession plans.

Developing and driving appropriate initiatives, including the strategic people or change initiatives not limited to; incorporating necessary job design, evaluation, consultation, employee communication, etc. as appropriate to minimise risk and to meet business objectives.

Managing the strategy of planning, preparation and roll-out of various programs to ensure business needs and timelines are met. This will include the people performance and recognition processes, employee engagement and the talent planning processes.

Coaching and mentoring the client leadership team and building strong stakeholder relationships to help achieve business imperatives.

Participating in the development of the strategic business plan.

What you’ll bring to the role:

Previous experience in managing change and building organisational capability.

Experience in organisation design and development.

Advanced business partnering skills with the ability to formulate effective, pragmatic solutions to meet business requirement and manager relationship across the business.

Proven ability to use analytical thinking to solve complex problems.

Tertiary qualifications in human resources or a related discipline will be highly regarded.

Executive level communication, presentation and facilitation skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.

Strong resilience with previous experience in managing change agendas/transformation programs

Demonstrated commitment to customer service excellence and continuous improvement.
