Australia Post has a long-standing commitment to Indigenous employment and reconciliation and launched its first employment strategy in 1988 and extended its commitment to reconciliation with the launch of the first Reconciliation Action Plan in 2011.
The purpose of this role is to drive positive and measurable outcomes that progress towards the Group's (RAP) priorities; including strengthening relationships, supporting cultural confidence and inclusion, increasing retention and leadership voice through targeted career development of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and improving supplier diversity and procurement throughout the supply chain.
Role is open to those located in Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne and is an identified role for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander candidates.
What you'll deliver with us ??  Reporting into our Head of Diversity, Inclusion and Talent, you will be responsible for end-to-end program work directly linked to our Indigenous Inclusion Strategy.
You'll also:  Drive continuing embedment of the Australia Post Group's (APG) Stretch RAP.
Actively engage internal and external stakeholders in the execution and performance reporting of the Stretch RAP including supporting Senior executive teams, community groups and government bodies providing regular updates and ensuring a high level of understanding RAP commitments and authentic collaborative engagement with Indigenous communities.
Provide leadership and advice on the development of responsive, integrated and inclusive policies, programs and cultural frameworks that meet the needs and voices of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, communities and APG.
Manage end-to-end delivery of Indigenous initiatives and cultural events collaborating with APG workforce and people leaders, navigating multiple stakeholders, through effective communication and negotiation.
Meet regularly with Indigenous employee reference groups and governance working groups, RAP executive sponsors and engage with Indigenous team members to consult on effectiveness of initiatives and strategies aligned to the RAP.
Drive Indigenous recruitment and early career pathways programs, professional development of Indigenous Emerging Leaders and build key talent and retention initiatives in support of Indigenous workforce.
Proactively provide thought leadership relating to Indigenous trends, emerging issues and policy to drive ongoing improvement against priorities.
About you ??  You have excellent communication and facilitation skills.
You influence and advise easily in complex stakeholder environments and lead end-to-end development and execution of large-scale initiatives.
You excel in collaborating widely and adapting in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
You'll also need ? ?  Demonstrated experience leading the end-to-end development and execution of large-scale initiatives and Indigenous careers and leadership programs on time and within budget.
Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, peoples, enterprise businesses and communities.
Effective delivery, monitoring and reporting of Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) framework across complex organisations.
To develop thriving Indigenous Employee and RAP Working Groups to ensure effective representation of Indigenous "voices".
Expertise to inform and develop cultural frameworks to increase understanding, engagement and efforts aligned to reconciliation.
