National Grants Manager

The Grants Manager (0.6 FTE) will support HeartKids to deliver its services and programs nationally and includes the identification and submission of grant applications for funding.
The role will also assist in identifying prospective relationships and partnerships, and pursue funding avenues across foundations/charitable trusts/PAFS and major donor/philanthropy channels in line with the company's charitable objectives.
The Grants Manager is responsible for:
End-to-end grant management, including effective prospect research, pipeline establishment and management through Salesforce and Asana.Delivering effective grant applications to help drive new revenue growth.Maintaining and developing current funders through effective acquittals and progress updates.Reporting on the HeartKids national grants function to senior leadership for board discussions.Key Skills Required Experience in a fundraising or development role in a not-for-profit, social impact, or community services environment.A demonstrated and proven track record of achieving revenue targets.Demonstrated success in researching, investigating, preparing and acquitting grant applications with a proven track record of achieving ambitious revenue targets.Excellent written & verbal communication skills as demonstrated by successful proposals/grant applications being accepted by a major partner or donor.Proven ability to build strong relationships, with a strong track record of achieving targets within set timeframes and limited resources.Strong conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to multi-task and work independently.Personal Attributes Required Positive attitude & ability to confidently manage a wide range of stakeholders.Willingness to work cooperatively and collaboratively across the organisation.Openness to change and the flexibility to accommodate changing requirements.Team player – collaborative and approachable.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal with a high standard of presentation.Proactive, hands-on and results-driven approach.Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to interact professionally.Analytical and problem-solving skills.About HeartKids HeartKids are champions of the heart as Australia's leading childhood-onset heart disease (CoHD) charity, and the only not-for-profit organisation dedicated to supporting and advocating for families impacted by CoHD.

This role is a 0.6 FTE role on a six-month contract, with potential option to renew.
Location is flexible, with in-office, hybrid or remote options available for the right candidate.
