Our Team – International Relations and Multicultural Affairs We provide leadership, guidance and support for all international activities involving or being undertaken on behalf of Brisbane City Council. Our team is the official liaison and communication point for all international contact and communication involving Council. We ensure that the international opportunities available to the City of Brisbane are maximised, coordinated and strategically driven and provide meaningful connections for Brisbane's multicultural business communities.
The Role The Multicultural Affairs Project Manager will lead the Multicultural Affairs agenda across the team to progress economic, civic, and cultural outcomes for Brisbane. This role identifies and monitors key trends and activities in multicultural communities, chambers of commerce, and the Lord Mayor's Multicultural Roundtable to drive commercial outcomes for local businesses while providing cultural advice to stakeholders.
This role will also contribute to the management of strategic relationships with Brisbane Sister Cities, inter-agencies, Brisbane businesses and work with the Sister Cities Steering Committee to focus on maximising economic outcomes and identify business development opportunities.
We are looking for a highly capable and experienced project manager who can develop and maintain in-depth relationships with multicultural and international groups to provide well-informed advice on strategic issues affecting economic growth.
