The MRI Technical Consultant focuses on providing technical consulting and software implementation services to clients in Residential, Commercial, and Corporate real estate markets. This role will expose you to a blend of small-scale project management, business requirements analysis, database design, database programming, custom report development, integration programming, data conversion, and user training/support. The heaviest part of the role will be developing relational database reports and integrations, but this is a customer-facing role requiring a real "people person" with a strong desire to work with our clients daily. The ideal candidate will have experience with real estate industry software package, MRI. This role would be working mainly on Australia projects, but will also work on U.S. projects when available.
Responsibilities
Analysis of client business needs and assistance in developing specifications for software customization and systems integration. Programming and development of custom reports, system integrations and data conversions. Help estimate time/effort required for technical tasks such as report programming & data integration. Gathers requirements for data conversions and assists client with preparing for data migration. Complete unit testing of personal deliverables including execution of formal test plans. Aid project managers, consulting team members and clients with testing, documenting, and learning how to use the reports, integrations, etc. that have been developed. Proactive communication of progress and challenges to the internal managers, and directly with clients. Skills/Requirements
Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent relevant experience. MRI experience is required. Knowledge of project management and software development methodologies. Basic knowledge of real estate, finance/accounting, and IT management practices. 1 – 2 years of experience, preferably in the business consulting area. 1 – 2 years of requirement/process definition, analysis, design, and implementation. 1 – 2 years developing instructional and procedural documentation and presentations. 1 – 2 years of test strategy/plan definition, scenario, and script development; management of User Acceptance Testing (UAT) execution. Ability to work independently; lead small teams focused on specific work streams of larger projects. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks/projects and competing priorities. This position requires someone who wants to work with people on a daily basis. Excellent verbal and written communication skills that are modified to meet customer needs. Technical proficiency in the following areas: Report writing tools such as SSRS, Crystal, Access. Intermediate/Advanced MS SQL database programming (stored procedures, user defined functions, etc.). Integrations and ETL tools such as SSIS and BizTalk desired. Modern programming languages (C#, Java) and web services programming desired. #J-18808-Ljbffr
