This role is a great opportunity for an evaluation or extension specialist to make a solid contribution to the ongoing success of the SA Drought Hub (Hub). This role will work in a nationally significant program that links research with activities to deliver enhanced drought resilience in farming systems.
The Monitoring, Evaluation, Reporting, and Learning (MERL) Officer position will be responsible for the monitoring and evaluation of Hub programs and projects throughout South Australia at both a strategic and operational level. A key role responsibility will be the design and implementation of a comprehensive Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) program that captures and reports the outputs and outcome achievements of the Hub.

Specialist knowledge, experience and skills related to the successful delivery of monitoring, evaluation and reporting frameworks within agricultural, natural resource management, environmental and related sectorsAn analytical and methodical approach to data collection, analysis and reportingAbility to work collaboratively and manage multiple priorities to report on the delivery of the MEL planCapacity to effectively develop constructive relationships with funders, Hub members and stakeholdersA current driver's license and willingness to travelA tertiary qualification in a related field.This full-time position commences in January 2025 and is a fixed term contract concluding on 30 June 2026. A potential six-year extension will be dependent on review and further funding.
The Hub is based at the University of Adelaide Roseworthy campus. There will be flexibility for an agreed schedule to work between a home office and Roseworthy for the right candidate.
