Job Description A new opportunity for an experienced Mixed Crop Farmer has become available for a family owned and operated 100% cropping property 40km East of Dongara, Western Australia.
Main duties will include assisting in the planning and implementation of crop production, broadacre machinery operations, infrastructure and property maintenance as well as general farm duties.
Must have previous machinery experience, be mechanically minded and have the ability to work well within a small team.
Commencing in February 2025, this position would ideally suit a young family and sponsorship options are available for the right candidate.

About the Role: Start Date: February 2025; Assist with planning and implementation of crop production; Overseeing all farming activities including seeding, spraying, spreading, fertilization, cultivation & harvest of crops; Organise the sale, purchase and despatch of produce Manage crop disease and pests; Machinery Operations: headers, seeder, tractors, sprayers etc; Machinery maintenance & workshop duties; Operating a John Deere 8310R, 8120, 9420 or 9530T; Seeder bar 12m DBS bar and a Concord 12m bar; Maintaining farm buildings, fences, water supplies and equipment Assist with the training and supervision of staff when required; General farm duties as required; Size of team: 2-4.
About You: 3+ years of broadacre cropping experience; Previous broadacre machinery and GPS experience; Mechanically minded with welding and fabrication skills; Strong initiative in completing day to day tasks; Ability to work autonomously, unsupervised and have excellent interpersonal skills to work cohesively in a team environment; Current manual driver's license, HR desirable; Preferably non-smoker; What's on Offer: Salary: $90-$100k, depending on skills and experience; Standard 50hr working week plus extra hours required over peak seasons (overtime paid at base rate); Accommodation: On farm, modern, 4×2 character home; Electricity supplied; Work vehicle and running costs provided; Training & progression opportunities available.
