The College offers a rich educational experience in an environment with excellent educational outcomes, high expectations, and strong student management. The College emphasizes core subjects: English, Mathematics, Science, Humanities, and Physical Education, complemented by programs in the Arts/Technology, Performing Arts, Health, and Languages (Italian). The school also offers a range of VCE subjects, including some VETiS studies and a structured, rigorous VCE Vocational Major program in Years 11-12.
The College offers an Accelerated Curriculum and Enrichment (ACE) program, extending students through a challenging curriculum including early commencement of VCE. Selection Criteria SC1: Demonstrated knowledge of the relevant curriculum, including the ability to incorporate the teaching of literacy and numeracy skills. Experience in responding to student learning needs.
SC2: Experience in planning for and implementing high impact teaching strategies and evaluating the impact on student learning growth.
SC3: Experience in monitoring and assessing student learning and using data to inform teaching practice.
SC4: Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills, establishing and maintaining collaborative relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
SC5: Demonstrated behaviours and attitudes consistent with Department values, engaging in professional learning to improve teaching quality.
Role
The classroom teacher classification comprises two salary ranges - range 1 and range 2. The primary focus is on planning, preparation, and teaching to achieve specific student outcomes. Classroom teachers engage in critical reflection and inquiry to improve their knowledge and skills.
Responsibilities
