Mid-Tier or Senior Solicitors x 2 - Port Pirie, Whyalla or Mount GambierWomen's Legal Service (SA) is seeking to appoint two Mid-Tier or Senior Solicitors on a contract basis to provide legal services from our Port Pirie, Whyalla or Mount Gambier offices.
You will play a crucial role in supporting women and families in need across regional South Australia.
What you'll be doing Provide legal advice and representation to clients across a range of family law, domestic violence, child protection and other mattersEngage in community legal education and outreach to raise awareness of legal rights and servicesCollaborate with other service providers to deliver holistic support to vulnerable clientsContribute to policy and law reform initiatives to improve outcomes for women and childrenSupervise and mentor junior lawyers and paralegals as requiredWhat we're looking for Admitted as a solicitor in South Australia with 3+ years' post-admission experienceDemonstrated expertise in family law, child protection, domestic violence and other areas of community lawExcellent client service skills, with the ability to compassionately support vulnerable clientsStrong communication and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to liaise effectively with a range of stakeholdersCommitment to social justice and improving access to legal services for disadvantaged communitiesWillingness to travel to regional locations and work flexibly as requiredWhat we offer As a not-for-profit organisation, we provide a supportive and flexible work environment with opportunities for professional development.
