Part Time (60.8 hrs per fortnight), Maximum Term (until June 2025)Horsham locationSCHADS level 2 role + super + salary packagingAbout the opportunityThe Mental Health and Wellbeing Traineeship is part of the Earn & Learn Program, an initiative of the Victorian Government to encourage growth in the community mental health and wellbeing sector. This enables people to study mental health education and work in a community mental health service. Uniting is offering positions in a range of mental health services to support Mental Health and Wellbeing Trainees to gain valuable practical experience as they complete their studies.
Mental Health and Wellbeing Trainees will be responsible for providing support to the day-to-day intake and assessment service functions, outreach support, individual and group support, and working collaboratively with consumers to achieve their wellbeing and recovery goals.
Trainees will be supported with workplace supervision and guidance, as well as relevant training and education to meet their learning and development needs. Through this they will develop a sound understanding of the community mental health sector through employment.

You will also have:
Completed the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Worker Orientation Module Certificate (or working towards this).Experience working in physical or mental health related disciplines such as yoga teaching, personal training, life coaching or artistic fields such as painting or drawing (Desirable)Lived experience, as a consumer or carer for someone, of public mental health services (desirable)Experience and expertise working directly with people with mental health issues, AOD challenges, complex needs and with their families and carers (desirable)How to applyClick APPLY to submit your interest and we'll be in touch shortly.
