Key ResponsibilitiesContribute to the provision of effective pathology services.Under general guidance from the Scientist in Charge, perform professional work in one or more sections of the Pathology Department.Perform normal professional work and complex or critical laboratory work under professional supervision.Position Features Participation in the out of hours call-back service roster is a requirement of this role.This is a shift work position requiring staff to work out of hours as rostered.The LGH Pathology Team: Northern Tasmanian Pathology Service is the only standalone Public Pathology service operating in the Northern regions of Tasmania.We are a category GX multidisciplinary laboratory, and the Haematology department performs a wide array of testing.This is a great opportunity to be part of a growing team and also contribute to innovative changes that seek to transform the workflow processes in the department.Details of AppointmentMultiple Permanent, full-time, shift-worker positions working up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as we can onboard you.
Salary: $71,441- $107,878 per annum.
Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
You'll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
Minimum RequirementsSuccessful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:
Tertiary qualification/program of study in Medical Laboratory Science, Biomedical Science, Science or Applied Science or equivalent suitable to the position from a recognised institution.Eligible for membership with a relevant professional body such as Australian Institute of Medical and Clinical Scientists, Australasian Association for Clinical Biochemistry and Laboratory Medicine, The Australian Society for Microbiology, Human Genetics Society of Australasia or the Australian Society of Cytology.Registration/licences that are essential requirements of this role must remain current and valid at all times whilst employed in this role.
