Career Growth in a Rapidly Expanding Healthcare CompanySupportive and Dynamic Team Environment12-Month part-time contract, 30 Hours/Week, Monday-Friday in South Brisbane, QldAbout the Role: Icon Cancer Centre South Brisbane is seeking a detail-oriented Medical Records Clerk to join our team. In this role, you'll ensure accurate and confidential management of patient health records to support quality patient care. This fixed-term part-time role involves 30 hours per week, working six-hour shifts from Monday to Friday. Shifts will alternate between mornings (7 am–1 pm) and afternoons (12 pm–6 pm).
Key Responsibilities: Efficiently scan and organize patient correspondence into electronic recordsRetrieve and distribute medical records for inpatient admissions and appointmentsSort and file medical records within filing bays or compactus unitsMaintain record registers and create new treatment plans and chartsAssist in culling records for secondary storageSkills & Experience: Excellent communication and customer service abilitiesFriendly, professional demeanour both in person and over the phoneA collaborative team player with the ability to work independently and meticulouslyProficiency in Microsoft Office applicationsPrior experience in clerical or administrative roles in healthcare is beneficialPrevious experience in medical records management is highly advantageousIf you're ready to make an impact in a caring and progressive healthcare environment, we'd love to hear from you!
