About This RoleWe are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Receptionist to join our team at I-MED Radiology Network. As a Medical Receptionist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth clinic operations and providing exceptional patient care.
Key ResponsibilitiesPatient Interaction:Greet patients and other callers professionally and courteously.Accurately input patient data.Assist patients with appointment scheduling.Administrative Tasks:Manage medical records confidentially and efficiently.Process patient payments (cash, Eftpos, direct billing).Invoice Medicare, Private Health Funds, CTP, DVA, and Workcover.Handle internal emails and inquiries.Maintain a tidy reception waiting area.Collaboration:Work autonomously and as part of a team.Communicate with referring doctors courteously.Fill in the roster when staff are on annual or sick leave.Ensure accurate storage and retrieval of patient and practice records.RequirementsUnderstanding of medical terminology.Excellent communication skills.Intermediate computer skills (knowledge of medical software and Microsoft Office Suite).Radiology or Medical Reception experience highly regarded.Desired TraitsBubbly personality and ability to think on your feet.Calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
