The West Footscray site operates 24hr 6 days per week. Engineering functions are carried out during normal and outside of these operating hours. The role requires an experienced Mechanical trade with further training as an instrument technician to ensure correct controls and standards are in place for all maintenance activities across the site.Effective communication with internal and external customersInitiating and fostering strong relationships with site stakeholdersProvide technical based solutionsProvide factual feedback when needed to support decision-making processesManaging competing prioritiesBecoming comfortable and competent with the various operating systems on siteStrategic Planning for future demand and staged replacement of existing ageing equipmentEnsure maintenance and utilization of existing equipment to a maximum life to result in customer delivery not impacted by existing aging equipmentProvide flexibility through overtime support as neededAbout your experienceDemonstrated Mechanical abilityAt least 3 years' leadership experience within a maintenance environmentTrade qualificationsMechanical trade or Engineering background within a manufacturing environment (FMCG experience would be advantageous)Demonstrated knowledge of preventative maintenance systems/tasksGreat computer skills/knowledgeExcellent communication skillsAbility to work in a team environmentAble to work independently and accept responsibilityGood written and verbal communicationInstallation and maintenance of equipment in hazardous area zone qualifiedReady to apply? / How do you apply?The next steps are easy!
