Who are you?
A highly experienced Mechanical tradesperson, ideally from the industrial sector, you are ready to take your career to the next level.
You can lead, support, and provide technical development to diverse teams comprising tradespeople, engineers, and apprentices.
You prioritise safety and offer leadership in this area while promoting quality of work and time management.
You are able to create connection with your team and encourage them to be part of something BIG!
Your ability to work autonomously, including scheduling and prioritising yours and your team's time to achieve successful outcomes will see you be a valuable Supervisor.
In addition to a Certificate III Trade qualification (Mechanical), qualifications in Dogman/Rigger, Confined Space Training – Control Entry Level III, and First Aid are highly desirable.
A current driver's licence and strong computer skills are also required.
About the role:
To put it simply... you will supervise the mechanical work for our Major Works program focused on the North and West Coast of Tasmania.
This will involve heavy involvement in the refurbishment of hydropower assets that have been operating for over 100 years!
As a Mechanical Supervisor, you will be...
Providing supervision to your work group, including junior Technicians/Assistants and Apprentices, Assisting with functional testing and condition monitoring of capital refurbishments, Contributing to the development of project plans including detailing the scope of work and allocation of resources, Assisting with compliance audits in line with Work, Health Safety and Environmental requirements, Providing leadership in managing risk, coordinating and monitoring Take 5 and SWMS reviews and implementation.
As a Mechanical Supervisor, you'll work a 9-day fortnight, this may evolve at different stages of outages.
You will also have access to vehicles when travelling to our sites.
