Sunshine Sugar's Harwood site have an opportunity available for a Mechanical Fitter to fill a permanent vacancy.
The Harwood site is in the Clarence Valley, only 20 minutes to Yamba or 50 km to Grafton.
We are an Australian owned company and we are proud to be the oldest working sugar mill in Australia!
As you can imagine we have a range of equipment, and no two days are ever the same.

We are identified as one of the largest agricultural and manufacturing sectors in the region, employing over 350 people directly and a further 2500 indirectly to support the local industry.
The region, known for its stunning beaches, rivers, fishing and natural wonders extends across seven shires including Tweed, Byron Bay, Ballina and the Clarence Valley.
Harwood is situated on the Clarence River near the coastal and historical port town of Yamba.
We are looking for
Trade qualifications (Certificate III and Certificate of Proficiency)
Heavy Industrial/Shutdown experience
Proven exposure to working on wide range of equipment, pumps, valves, pipelines, motors, gearboxes, boilers and turbines
Ability to fabricate small & large components
Competent in interpreting drawings
Experience with pressure vessels preferred but not essential
Machine maintenance and troubleshooting experience
Ability to communicate in a clear and constructive manner both verbally and in writing
Organisational skills and ability to prioritise
Commitment and good attitude to safety and culture
Teamwork and willingness to co-operatively share knowledge and expertise
