Programmed Skilled Workforce is a leading provider of managed workforce and training services.We are currently recruiting for enthusiastic and experienced Mechanical Fitter, to be based in the Rockhampton Area.Benefits:Access to Programmed's Employee Assistance Program - Career, Legal, Family, Money, Nutrition & Lifestyle support & counsellingFantastic safety cultureOpportunity for growth and developmentTo be considered for the role you must have the following:Must be a Trade Qualified Mechanical FitterMust have proven experience in this tradeHeavy Industry experienceAbility to pass a pre-employment medical & D&A testPositive attitude towards safetyYour new role will consist of a range of duties including but not limited to:Develop work plans to effectively complete assigned jobs including tools, equipment, and spare parts.Perform routine mechanical maintenance activities, breakdown work and problem analysis to meet both daily and long-term safety and production needs.Identify, initiate, and implement plant improvement opportunities.Undertake minor project work to improve plant performance and safety.Review work procedures and PM's and provide feedback to ensure the maintenance system remains current.Utilise the computer-based maintenance system SAP to record work history and parts usage.Promote and assist in the development of all work group personnel in safety, technical and procedural issues.Carry out duties in a safe manner in accordance with all business policies, regulations and procedures and the Workplace Health and Safety (WH&S) Act.Supporting team members by assisting with any other relevant duties.The successful applicants will be reliable and can work effectively on their own initiative or as part of a team.
