Position: Mechanical Engineer
Position Type: Full-Time
Salary: $73,500 to $80,000 plus superannuation per annum
Location: Carrum Downs VIC 3201
Our client is seeking a full-time Mechanical Engineer to join their team located in Carrum Downs, Victoria. In your role as a Mechanical Engineer, you will provide engineering services to the Maintenance and Production Departments. You will also investigate problems and faults with machinery, and study ways to improve manufacturing and energy production.
Tasks Required Include:

Review and develop SOP's, Organisational charts, and Project information to determine functions and responsibilities of team members.
Plan and prepare technical drawings and work instructions for custom projects to ensure machine setup and operation are carried out to meet customer standards and requirements in a timely manner.
Optimize machine efficiency and avoid run time failure using the PEPS CAM 3D simulation software.
Design and draft parts using AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
Audit and inspect parts tolerances to ensure accuracy of operation and equipment.
Report any run time issues and schedule preventative service calls for equipment maintenance.
Promote and work to maintain workplace health and safety through active compliance with all workplace health and safety policies and procedures.
Review technical data sheets, specifications, and tender packages for Mechanical equipment systems, technical selection, calculation, sizing, and evaluation of equipment packages.
Perform detailed documentation to track project development and design process.
Provide engineering drawing, details, and support to capital and non-capital projects of moderate to high risk and complexity.
Participate in corrective actions to meet ongoing cost, quality, and delivery activities.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or in a related field.
At least three (3) years of prior relevant experience as a Mechanical Engineer.
