Due to an increase in projects in our Water Utilities team, we're seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join us and contribute mechanical engineering expertise to critical water infrastructure projects. As a Mechanical Engineer at WSP, you'll play a pivotal role in critical projects. Here's how you'll contribute:Technical Leadership: Assist in project management and design management for water and wastewater infrastructure projects. Your work will span the entire project life cycle.Documentation and Proposals: Assist in the preparation of concise, high-quality technical documentation and in crafting compelling proposals.Project Management: Manage designs across multiple projects or program work packages.Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders to exceed expectations.About You:You are a Mechanical Engineer with demonstrated experience working on water industry projects such as pump stations, pipelines, hydraulics, and/or treatment plants. However, we are also interested in hearing from you if you've worked as a mechanical engineer in the Oil & Gas or Mining industry and are keen to move into the Water space.You enjoy working in a collaborative team environment and engaging with clients, with the objective of providing mechanical engineering solutions which meet our clients' requirements. You have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and a natural curiosity to develop innovative solutions.You Will Have:Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.Eligible and/or working towards CPEng certification.At least 5 years' experience working as a Mechanical Engineer.Proven experience in engineering consultancy or design roles (water industry experience is advantageous).Technical proficiency in water and wastewater conveyance and treatment.Experience in hydraulic design, pump stations, and equipment selection.Familiarity with stress analysis and relevant software tools.Effective communication skills for technical reports and client interactions.About WSPWSP is one of the world's leading engineering professional services firms, bringing together approximately 6,000 talented people across 15 offices in Australia.
