The winning candidate will provide drafting support to the Principal Engineer with respect to the design, modification and maintenance of PTA's Rollingstock. They will also manage the creation, approval and publication of engineering drawings for the PTA's Rollingstock fleets. This role reports directly to the Principal Engineer and sits within the Transperth Train Operations Division located at the Perth Train Station.About YouTo be considered for this role you must have:A Certificate IV or higher qualification in drafting or demonstrated relevant experience in drafting.Several years of industry experience in mechanical drafting of heavy mobile equipment and experience with electrical schematics is also desirable.Knowledge of Technical Drawing Standards.Experience in Mechanical Engineering design and manufacturing.Demonstrated knowledge of document control processes.Ability to apply, and experience in demonstrating sound conceptual, analytical and problem-solving skills.Demonstrated experience in the use of AutoCAD 2D and Inventor 3D software packages or equivalent.There is one permanent full-time position available for an immediate start. All applicants must have a current Western Australian 'C' or 'C-A' Class Driver's Licence or equivalent and must be willing to work outside normal office hours on occasion.
