We are currently seeking a mechanical assembler to join our production team in Tennyson. This position is suitable for young trainees looking to enter the mechanical and electronic industries while working and building world-class, high-end technology equipment.
In this role, you will be responsible for: Assembly of mechanical and electronic modules Assembly and testing of high-volume build to print units for production and prototypes Basic testing of circuit functionality Using hand and power tools to assemble components according to engineering specifications and assembly instructions Following the EM Solutions Quality & WHS Procedures Contributing to the continuous improvement of assembly methods and processes Undertaking other ad-hoc duties as required Core skills and competencies we are looking for: Strong mechanical aptitude Ability to assemble a wide range of mechanical components Aptitude to work in strict accordance with documented methods and processes Outstanding fine motor skills and high level of attention to detail Good communication and interpersonal skills Reliable and good work ethic Proficiency with hand and power tools Physically fit and able to be on your feet most of the day Ideally, you will demonstrate: Previous experience in mechanical and electronics module assembly (desirable but training will be provided) Ability to read technical instructions and drawings Electronic cable manufacturing experience (advantageous) IPC-A-610, J-STD-001, MIL-STD-883 or equivalent certification (highly regarded) As part of the recruitment process, candidates will be required to confirm their right to work in Australia (Australian citizenship) and successfully complete pre-employment checks (professional references, police clearance, proof of qualifications, and ITAR screening).
