Key duties: Develop and implement a comprehensive Maths and Science curriculum aligned with the Victorian Curriculum, covering various topics such as algebra, geometry, calculus, biology, chemistry, physics, and environmental science.Create engaging and differentiated lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities, incorporating hands-on experiments, problem-solving activities, and inquiry-based investigations to enhance students' understanding and mastery of mathematical and scientific concepts.Design and administer assessments, tests, and experiments to evaluate students' understanding and provide constructive feedback and support to help students improve their academic performance.Collaborate with colleagues in the Maths and Science departments and across other subject areas to create interdisciplinary projects, thematic units, and cross-curricular connections.Engage in continuous professional development activities to stay updated on best practices in Maths and Science education.Skills & Experience: Minimum 4 year Bachelor degree with minimum 1 year Teaching qualificationMaintain a valid and up-to-date VIT registrationHave unrestricted working rights in AustraliaDemonstrate previous experience in teaching 7-10 Maths/ScienceOpen to Graduate Teachers and those eligible for permission to teachAbility to provide contact details for two education-based references from within the last 5 years (student-teacher mentors are acceptable).Offering: Be part of a cohesive and expanding school communityStart in Term 4, 2024, with potential for ongoing opportunities in 2025Enjoy a supportive and collaborative staff cultureCompetitive salary ranging from $75,000 to $115,000, based on your skills and experienceThe School: Around 1500 students and 120 teachersApproachable management team and smaller team structuresCollaborative planning model with professional development opportunitiesHow to apply:
