The Alpine School is seeking a Mathematics and Science Teacher to join our team in a permanent part-time capacity commencing Term 1, 2025.
The successful applicant will be an engaging teacher who demonstrates creativity and rigour in the delivery of curriculum and who can foster warm, supportive relationships with students. As a Mathematics and Science Teacher, you will have the opportunity to inspire and educate students, fostering a love for math and science and helping students develop strong analytical and problem-solving skills. You should have a strong knowledge and understanding of Steiner pedagogy (or a willingness to learn). You will be creative and enthusiastic with a passion for delivering high quality, evidence-based teaching practices and achieving optimal outcomes for students' learning and well-being.
Responsibilities: Demonstrate knowledge, competence and confidence in Mathematics and Science Programming, lesson planning, assessment and reporting Create engaging and effective instructional materials and resources Modifying teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities Provide effective feedback to students in order to improve their understanding and learning Contribute to the school's commitment to a well-rounded, rich, and distinctive curriculum Strong interpersonal skills Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with parents, students and colleagues Provide pastoral support to students, upholding our Steiner philosophy Requirements: Ability and willingness to teach Mathematics and/or Science across Years 7-10 Current NESA accreditation to teach in NSW & current NSW Working with Children Check Have a passion for teaching the relevant subject area(s) and relevant teaching experience Have NESA recognised tertiary educational qualifications Be eligible to work in Australia without any restrictions To find out more about us, visit our website: .
