About the role
Bankstown Sports Club is on the lookout for a Marketing Specialist to join our team. This role will see you applying your creativity campaigns that align with business objectives and resonate with our members and guests.
No day is the same and you will find yourself working on every customer facing aspect of the business, from restaurant menus, member promotions, ATL advertising and PR activity.
We need a strong all-rounder who is able to pivot quickly and efficiently in an ever-changing consumer landscape with little disruption. You will work within a fun and dynamic team and be the key contact with the venue managers as you help bring their individual marketing plans to life. You must demonstrate proven experience as marketing specialist or similar role; at least 3 years’ experience in an agency or in-house is required.
Reporting to the Marketing Manager, you will be a key contributor to creative marketing ideas, campaign execution and post campaign analysis. You will assist with the development and writing of marketing materials, such as plans, recommendations and presentations and ensure that each venue is contributing to the overall marketing strategy.
Your key responsibilities are varied and when combined, provide you with an exciting and challenging portfolio of work. These include:
Working closely with the marketing manager and venue managers to bring the dining and beverage marketing plans to life for our venues.
Ensuring all menu releases and restaurant initiatives are executed accurately and on time
Roll out of weekly ATL media commitments including print ads, ad hoc advertising and venue signage for the group.
Assisting the marketing manager in the roll out of monthly digital marketing initiatives for the group
Briefing, coordination and management of photo and video shoots for each associated venue.
Working with the Social Media Specialist to ensure the venue marketing messages are optimised for social media.
Ad Hoc Events Marketing in conjunction with AV & Digital Manager
Member Promotions – Roll out of all member promos for the associated venues as per the agreed marketing plans.
Working with PR agency and marketing manager on venue activities and social media influencer outreach
Event coordination of internal, external and sponsorship events for your venues
To be successful in this role, you’ll need to demonstrate the following:
3-5 years experience in a similar position, with a degree in your relevant field.
Experience coordinating marketing campaigns autonomously
Experience in managing external agencies e.g. PR, creative agencies, printing stakeholders.
Ability to translate business objectives into engaging marketing messaging – you are creative as much as you are data-driven.
High level of attention to detail and excellent written communication skills
Flexible and can work under pressure.
Well organised and strong planning skills – excellent project and time management is a must in this role with many exciting projects happening at the same time.
You will be a key marketing contact for all of the venue managers and dining and beverage team – ability to work well cross functionally is essential.
Solid computer skills, including MS Office, marketing software (Adobe Creative Suite), applications (Web analytics, Google Adwords etc.) and/or CRM software.
