About the role
As the Marketing Communications Planner, you will be responsible for managing key pieces of marketing communication and the associated objectives, strategy, creative, execution and measurement. You will deliver excellence in all our creative assets, including art direction, permanent marketing properties and campaign executions and link together all strands of the campaign and activity and see where synergies can be achieved. In addition:
Run campaigns and always-on comms across bought, owned and earned channels
Manage the detailed media plan to support each activity
Drive excellence through your output, with an unswerving focus on the best creative output for both campaigns and our permanent set of assets. This will include elements such as art direction for static and moving image, copy and tone, music and voice, graphic devices, layout, branding
Work intimately with our creative partners to define our assets and manage ongoing execution
Partner with media and owned channel teams to define the most effective plans across bought, owned and earned channels and with store comms to drive team engagement
Take accountability for delivery of all work regardless of channel and take ownership of always-on comms responsibilities, including managing the approach and end to end production

To be successful for this role, you should have experience with the following:
Communications and campaign management, including role and best practice for each channel (e.g. advertising, PR, social, in-store etc)
Working knowledge of the process from objectives / briefing to strategic and creative evaluation, production and measurement
Excellent communication skills
Ability to foster strong partnerships with internal and external partners to work collaboratively as one team
Media - including buying best practice and budgetary control
Financial best practice - budgeting, forecasting, reporting
Agency best practice - what good briefs look like, evaluating work, getting the best out of partnerships
Experience using and interpreting insights
