Negative Vetting Level One clearance required 30th June 2025 + extension contract This is a challenging and rewarding role, where you will work on complex reporting systems that support vital operations within a federal government environment We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Maritime Reporting Analyst to support a critical federal government client based in Canberra. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work within a dynamic team, managing and enhancing reporting capabilities across multiple security domains. If you have a strong background in SQL Server, reporting services, and data analysis, along with a passion for supporting operational capabilities, we want to hear from you.
As a Maritime Reporting Analyst, you will be responsible for the following: Reporting & Data Analysis: Develop, maintain, and enhance complex reports to support ICT capabilities across multiple security domains.Stakeholder Liaison: Engage with business users to gather reporting and information requirements, ensuring reports are aligned with business needs.Support & Troubleshooting: Provide ongoing support for operational systems using SQL Server, Reporting Services, Integration Services, and other tools. Troubleshoot and resolve data-driven application issues.Report Distribution & Documentation: Manage report distribution, ensuring timely and accurate delivery. Maintain comprehensive technical and procedural documentation, including configuration, metadata management, and system support documentation.Business Intelligence: Assist with Business Intelligence activities and data analysis, ensuring continuous improvement and adherence to data standards.System Upgrades & Maintenance: Plan and implement system upgrades, patches, and product enhancements as required.24/7 Support: Be part of the 24/7 support team, providing after-hours support on a rostered basis.Key Skills and Experience: Proven experience working with:Microsoft SQL ServerSQL Server Reporting ServicesSQL Server Integration Services and SQL Server programmabilityExperience in developing and maintaining a report suite for high-volume SQL Server databases.Proven ability to engage with business users to gather reporting and data requirements and conduct analysis to define fit-for-purpose report products.Experience with logical and physical relational database design and implementation techniques.Demonstrated experience providing Level 3 application support as part of a technical support team.Willingness to provide 24/7 on-call support as required.Talented, committed, can-do individuals have always been the cornerstone of this dynamic organisation.
