You'll work closely with our ASRV Technical Superintendent and Engineering Manager to maintain and enhance our vessel's operations.
Your role will involve collaboration with various stakeholders, process development, and occasional travel to support Serco Defence locations.
As an Electrical Engineer, you'll make a positive impact by: Working with the Technical Superintendent to efficiently and effectively implement the installation, refurbishment and commissioning activities associated with the ASRV vessel Implementing and applying Serco Safety, Environment, and Wellbeing SOPs Optimising maintenance strategies, plans, and schedules Identifying and managing critical spares and inventory levels Supporting electrical procurement and conducting compliance audits Scheduling, monitoring, and achieving electrical engineering tasks Liaising with vessel Chief Engineer and ETO to develop, implement, maintain, and review the schedules and subsequent labour resourcing to achieve the required project outcomes Providing expert electrical engineering advice and timely reports Analysing data for system performance improvements Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations Serco is a place for you You are a dedicated, technically skilled professional who thrives in dynamic environments and can manage complex electrical systems within the Maritime industry.

To be successful in this role you'll have: Degree in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years of marine experience and/or an Electrical Technical Officer STCW Regulation III/6 that holds an Electrical Trade Qualification Current Driver's Licence and ability to obtain a Maritime Security Identification Card Proficient in Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and Systems Engineering Physically resilient, capable of working in confined spaces and at heights Ideal Skills & Experience: Certificate IV or Diploma in Project Management Knowledge of Class, SOLAS, and AMSA requirements Membership in Engineers Institute of Australia or equivalent Understanding of AS3000 Electrical Wiring Standards Eligibility for AGSVA Negative Vetting Level 1 Clearance Please note: This position carries trust and responsibility.
