The Opportunity: This role can be based in Melbourne, Brisbane, Hobart, Devonport, and Launceston.Build strong relationships with clients as well as environmental and water-related disciplines to deliver projects;Technical stewardship of the pitt&sherry Maritime Structures Team;Technical review of deliverables to ensure output of a technically high standard;Mentoring and managing a small team of junior team members;Management, either technical management or project management as a technical lead of a variety of engineering projects across the country;Delivering coastal infrastructure projects including feasibility studies, condition assessments, and design of coastal structures;Building strong relationships with clients to expand our presence in the Maritime sector;Complete site visits as required.What you bring: An experienced engineer with extensive technical experience in maritime structures and ports;An ability to draw on strong engineering foundations to resolve technical challenges;A desire to provide technical leadership to the Maritime and Coastal team;Strong technical and numerical modelling skills to solve complex problems efficiently and effectively, delivering cost-effective, high-performance solutions for our clients;Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to translate discipline-specific engineering concepts into language that can be understood by clients and colleagues;Experience with Strand7 and Spacegass or equivalent packages;Experience with SwanOne, SWAN – GUI, DELFT3D, IH2VOF, XBEACH, or equivalent packages will be viewed favourably, however such experience is not mandatory.Why join us: We're a friendly bunch who are passionate about our work.
