Key Responsibilities: As Fleet Technical Superintendent, you will be responsible for upholding the asset management standards within the Business Unit together with our marine crews and local stakeholders. Your duties will include:
Lead the Technical function in the Business Unit. Support Fleet Engineers in Asset Lifecycle Management and condition-based maintenance. Deliver the overall fleet maintenance and docking strategy. Oversee continuing Class and Flag State compliance for all vessels. Build and maintain relationships with key internal stakeholders and Clients. Identify procurement optimisation opportunities for fleet spares and maintenance requirements. As a member of the Townsville shore-based team, you will be expected to:
Work with the team to deliver the day-to-day functions of the Townsville office. Coach vessel crews and shore-side teams to achieve a high safety performance and cultivate a strong safety culture. Mandatory Qualifications & Experiences You will hold tertiary qualifications in Marine Engineering and/or minimum Engineer Class III and:
Be safety focused. Have a continuous improvement mindset. Be computer literate and familiar with navigating through modern asset maintenance systems and the Microsoft Office suite. Know how to deliver practical solutions to complex problems. Have strong verbal and written communication skills. Work well both autonomously and in a collaborative team environment. Have experience and/or qualifications in ISM/ISO/Class. Be familiar with AMSA/flag State regulatory requirements. Hold, or be eligible to obtain a Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC).
