Your Impact
As a Syrup Room Operator with Asahi Beverages at our Huntingwood facility, you will work with a wider team to help create and deliver beverages that our consumers know and love. You will embark on a journey of learning and as your skillset increases your role will advance.
Key responsibilities
Batching of our products (syrups) in a timely, efficient manner and right first time, to ensure that product is ready when required by the production lines Accurate and timely interpretation of recipes and translating this into product by the weighing, measurement, calculation and combination of raw materials Ensuring that there are no product losses by following in place processes and guidelines Performing quality control testing on ingredients and samples and data entry Monitor and control raw material usage and handling with the aim of minimising ingredient losses and timely backflushing of raw materials in SAP Ensure syrup room operation is always GMP compliant General cleaning of areas, tools, machinery, utensils – disposal of waste Communicating with co-workers and management verbally & by telephone or e-mail Monitoring plant performance, trends and discrepancy using SCADA. Troubleshooting issues as they arise and reporting anything out of the ordinary Maintaining a safe work environment for yourself and your colleagues including the use of correct PPE always Actively participating in Asahi Way programs, meetings and activities About You

Your experience/qualifications:
Previous experience working in a fast-paced environment Experience working in a GMP compliant facility A background in manufacturing or machine operation Previous experience with continuous improvement and working to operational targets Experience working in the beverage industry will be highly regarded SAP and SCADA experience highly regarded (we can train you, but you need to be computer savvy) A passion for safety, ensuring that not only yourself but that your entire team is operating in a safe manner and following processes to a tee An ability to make decisions and solve problems on the fly You display passion, have a drive to learn and excel, and you possess a positive attitude You have sound mathematical/analytical skills, you will be working with numbers You can speak, write and communicate effectively and develop SOPs and work instructions An ability to juggle numerous responsibilities at any given time without sacrificing quality An ability to work on repetitive tasks maintaining a high level of accuracy and focus You love working with people and teams at all levels You are comfortable working with computers and are proficient with Microsoft products (excel, word, outlook) You must also be able to work across a 24/7 rotating roster and be flexible to adjust shifts patterns as per business requirements.
