Our 3000-strong global team members are proud of the innovative solutions we provide our customers and our commitment to being carbon neutral by 2030.You'll join a diverse and inclusive team contributing across more than 100 unique professions and trades.What's the Role:You will be reporting to the Global Head of Product and Manufacturing Excellence and will be responsible for developing and implementing manufacturing design standards for mining and rail products, including methoding, casting design parameters, and pattern tooling.You provide technical advice on casting quality issues and deliver manufacturing designs for both internal and external products.
Collaborating with Manufacturing, Product Development, and Quality teams, you aim to improve product manufacturability and quality.Your role includes developing standards for estimating, methoding (including simulation), and other manufacturing design aspects to meet customer expectations.
You implement a common manufacturing design process across foundries, ensuring efficiency.
You work with Product Development teams to enhance SQDC performance and ensure technical specifications are clear for foundries.You review and address manufacturing quality defects, optimize pattern-making processes, and ensure timely delivery of patterns.
You also develop strategic partnerships with technology providers, audit site performance, and provide training to build competency.Key Technical Criteria:Tertiary qualifications in Manufacturing, Engineering, or Business Management with post-graduate studies desirableManufacturing design qualifications for steel castingsExperience working in a Technical role in a Foundry environmentDemonstrated experience in developing systems and standards across estimating, methoding, and pattern makingDemonstrated experience in people management, change management, and project managementThe role is based in Brisbane.If you'd like to be part of a team that's changing the game, please apply along with your resume and a brief cover letter highlighting why this should be your next role.
