Role Overview
The Water / Waste Water branch is responsible for the delivery of water and sewerage services to the region, including the management and operation of 8 water treatment plants, 7 sewage treatment plants, the reticulation of water and waste water, the management of multiple pumping stations, along with water quality control and licensing requirements.The purpose of this senior leadership position will be the overall management of the branch to ensure quality drinking water and waste water services are provided to the community in accordance with customer service standards and legislative requirements.

You will be a self driven individual with an inclusive leadership style. You will also have a strong leadership and management background and extensive knowledge and experience in the provision of water and waste water services, and in meeting the legislative requirements of regulators.
Key Responsibilities of the role:
Lead the Water/Wastewater branch to meet its obligation of providing quality drinking water and wastewater services to both external and internal customers.
Operations and maintenance of water and wastewater treatment plants to meet statutory and environmental requirements.
Strategic planning of water and wastewater systems, including water resource planning.
Operation and maintenance of water and sewerage networks to provide quality service to customers.
Development and delivery of the capital works program based on asset management and legislative requirements.
Provide technical advice in relation to water and wastewater management.
Reporting to regulatory authorities in accordance with council’s legislative requirements.
Financial management of the Water/Wastewater branch within the provisions of the annual budget.
