The Role
Our Chelsea Heights site is located in Melbourne's south-east, manufacturing a range of more than 44 milk, milk-based beverages and cream products. The site currently produces around 100 million litres of product every year!
We are seeking a Maintenance and Reliability Manager to join the high-performing team at Chelsea - VIC. As a member of the Site Steering Group, this critical role will see you responsible for bringing a long-term strategic lens around Capex to the table and delivering day-to-day asset management through your team of trades and engineers.
Responsibilities
Coach the team to build expert capability, manage a budget, and utilize reliability resources.
Manage contractors and call on expert assistance when required to fix major breakdowns and identify root causes.
Deliver exceptional asset performance and breakdown support through practical resource and people management.
Assist in implementing a long-term capability development plan within the maintenance team.
Actively participate in the Bega Excellence processes of Continuous Improvement.
Improve workforce productivity through coaching and process improvement.
Manage your team and contractors to champion safety best practice- Safety Culture, LOTO, Permits, statutory compliance etc.
About You
Prior experience in maintenance and reliability within a manufacturing environment, preferably in an FMCG background.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Utilize your exceptional knowledge and background in equipment and engineering principles.
Ability to lead, coach, and develop team members and engage with a variety of stakeholders.
Capable of managing change and bringing others along on the journey.
